Bella Vista Arkansas - Have you heard of Trunk of Treats?

Bella Vista is unique. On Halloween, you won't likely find the ghosts and ghouls visiting their neighbors homes and participating in the traditional trick or treating.  Instead, Bella Vista has our annual event, Trunk of Treats.  Several of the individual churches, sponsors a Trunk of  Treats event and each has its own list of activities.  All have the main event though, the car trunks full of candy and treats.  The parishioners of each church line their cars up, decorate their trunks, usually dress for Halloween themselves, and fill their trunks full of candy and treats ready to hand out to the ghosts and ghouls who will visiting.

My family normally starts our evening at the Bella Vista Community Church, mainly because this is our own church.  We see those we know and take pictures along the way.  Then we move to the Bella Vista Baptist.  Their activities include; bible stories, popcorn, music and hot dogs.  From there we visit the First United Methodist Church.  They have a great family atmosphere with live music.  They serve awesome chili dogs and warm smores over the camp fire ring.  We end our night at the Bella Vista Lutheran church.  My children like to end the night with their bouncy house and live pony rides.  By this point, our candy buckets are overflowing and my feet are tired.

There are many more Trunk of Treats events than my family can attend.  Here is a list of this year's events.
